How do I know which treatment I need?
We start with an examination and, where it is needed, an X-ray or a 3D scan. From that we set out the options that apply to your case, what each one involves, how long it takes and what it costs. You get that in writing and nothing starts until you have agreed to it. Where more than one option is reasonable, we say so instead of choosing for you.
Do I need to tell you about my medical conditions and medication?
Yes. Heart conditions, diabetes, blood thinners, bisphosphonates, recent surgery, allergies and pregnancy all affect how we plan and time treatment, and a few need us to speak to your doctor first. Bring a list of what you currently take, including supplements, and tell us if it changes later. Most conditions do not stop treatment. They change the sequence, the timing or the precautions we take.
Will treatment hurt, and what if I feel anxious?
Anything beyond a cleaning is carried out under local anaesthesia, and we put a numbing gel on the gum before the injection. You should feel pressure and movement rather than sharp pain, and you can raise a hand at any point for us to stop. Tell us when you book if dental visits make you anxious. We can set aside extra time, explain each step before it happens and split a long appointment into shorter ones.
Can I have several treatments done in the same visit?
Often yes for straightforward work, such as two fillings on the same side or a check-up together with a cleaning. Some sequences need healing time in between. Gum treatment comes before crowns, veneers or braces so the foundation is stable, and a socket usually needs weeks to heal before an implant goes in. We map the order out at the planning visit so you know how many appointments to expect and roughly when.
How long will my treatment take from start to finish?
It depends on whether a laboratory or healing time is involved. A cleaning or a simple filling is done in one visit. Work that goes to a laboratory, such as crowns and dentures, runs over a few weeks. Anything that waits for the body to heal, such as implants, gum surgery or braces, is measured in months with short reviews along the way. Your written plan states the expected appointments and the gaps between them before you commit.
Do you refer patients to other clinics or hospitals?
Yes, when a case falls outside what we do here. Jaw surgery, treatment under general anaesthesia and complex medical cases are safer handled in a hospital setting. We arrange the referral, send the records and X-rays across, and stay in contact with the treating clinician so your care carries on without gaps.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept cash, credit/debit cards (Visa, Mastercard), online bank transfers, and e-wallets (Touch 'n Go, GrabPay, Boost). We also offer installment plans for major treatments.
Do you accept dental insurance?
Yes, we accept most major dental insurance panels in Malaysia. Please contact our front desk with your insurance details and we'll verify your coverage before your appointment.
Are there payment plans available for expensive treatments?
Yes, we offer flexible payment plans for treatments such as dental implants, orthodontics, and cosmetic procedures. Speak to our team about interest-free installment options that suit your budget.
What should I do in a dental emergency?
Contact us immediately at +6010-888 2167 or WhatsApp +6010-888 2167. For knocked-out teeth, keep the tooth moist (in milk or saliva) and come in within 30 minutes if possible. For severe pain or swelling, we offer same-day emergency appointments.
Do you handle emergency cases?
Yes, we accommodate dental emergencies during our operating hours. We prioritise emergency patients and aim to see you as quickly as possible. Please call ahead so we can prepare for your arrival.
What counts as a dental emergency?
Dental emergencies include severe toothache, knocked-out or broken teeth, lost fillings or crowns, dental abscesses (swelling with pus), uncontrolled bleeding, and jaw injuries. If you're unsure, call us and we'll advise you.
What safety measures are in place at the clinic?
We follow strict infection control and sterilisation protocols. All instruments are autoclaved, treatment rooms are thoroughly disinfected between patients, and our team follows strict hygiene protocols as mandated by the Malaysian Dental Council.
Is dental treatment safe during pregnancy?
Yes, dental check-ups and cleaning are safe and recommended during pregnancy. We take special precautions for pregnant patients, including avoiding certain X-rays and medications. The second trimester is often the most comfortable time for dental treatment.
