Whitening, porcelain veneers, bonding, ICON and gum reshaping combined into one plan, previewed digitally before any tooth is prepared.
A smile makeover combines two or more cosmetic treatments to improve the colour, shape and alignment of the teeth you show when you smile. It may involve professional whitening, porcelain veneers, crowns, composite bonding, ICON resin infiltration for white spots, gum reshaping, or a short course of braces or aligners first. Planning starts with photographs and a digital preview so you can see the proposed result and agree the plan before any tooth is prepared.

Thin porcelain shells bonded to the front of the teeth to change colour, shape and small gaps. A thin layer of enamel is prepared first.
Tooth-coloured resin shaped directly on the tooth to repair chips and close small gaps, usually in one visit.
Full-coverage restorations for teeth that are heavily filled, cracked or root-treated, matched to your neighbouring teeth.
Professional brightening treatments that lift stubborn stains for a brighter smile.
A drill-free treatment to treat white spots and early decay while preserving healthy enamel.
What happens at each stage.

Which teeth are treated and with what: whitening, composite bonding, ICON infiltration, porcelain veneers, crowns, or gum reshaping.
For veneers a thin layer of enamel is shaped. A crown needs more of the tooth reduced all round. Temporaries are fitted while the laboratory work is made. Whitening, bonding and ICON are usually completed in one visit.
Veneers and crowns are made by the dental laboratory over one to two weeks.
Try-in for shape and shade, bonding, bite adjustment, and a review visit a week or two later.
The practical things patients ask about.
Whitening can cause temporary sensitivity for a day or two. It does not change the colour of existing fillings or crowns.
Temporaries are worn for one to two weeks. Avoid sticky or very hard food while they are in place.
Veneers and crowns usually take two to four visits over two to six weeks, whitening one or two.
Small adjustments to shape and bite are normal at the fitting and review visits.
Fees are quoted per case. These factors move the figure.
The number of teeth included in the makeover.
Composite bonding, porcelain veneers or zirconia crowns each carry different laboratory costs.
Whether whitening, ICON infiltration or gum reshaping is part of the plan.
Whether braces or aligners are needed first.

A written quote for the whole makeover follows the consultation and digital design, before any tooth is prepared. Payment plans are available.

A smile makeover suits people who are unhappy with discoloured, chipped, worn, uneven or gappy front teeth. Healthy gums are needed first, and veneers need enough sound enamel to bond to. If crowding or a bite problem is the main issue, a period of braces or aligners usually comes first so the cosmetic work is done on well-positioned teeth. People who grind their teeth are advised to wear a night guard to protect the new restorations.

Everything you need to know about this treatment.
A combination of treatments chosen for your teeth: whitening, porcelain veneers, crowns, composite bonding, ICON infiltration for white spots, gum reshaping, or braces first if alignment is the main issue. We start with photographs and a digital preview of the proposed result before treatment begins. The preview is a planning aid rather than a promise of the final appearance.
Porcelain veneers require a thin layer of enamel to be removed, so the teeth will always need a veneer or crown afterwards. The veneers themselves typically last 10 to 15 years with care before they need replacing. Because the preparation is not reversible, we discuss alternatives such as bonding or whitening first where they can achieve the result.
A veneer covers only the front surface and suits teeth that are sound but discoloured, chipped or slightly misshapen. A crown covers the whole tooth and is used when the tooth is weakened by large fillings, cracks or root canal treatment. Many makeovers use both.
Typically one to three years, depending on coffee, tea, red wine, smoking and how well the teeth are cleaned. Top-up treatments extend the result. Whitening does not change the colour of existing fillings, crowns or veneers.
Whitening carried out under dental supervision uses controlled concentrations that have not been shown to damage enamel when used as directed. Some people notice temporary sensitivity during treatment, which we manage with desensitising gel. Whitening is not done during pregnancy or on teeth with untreated decay.
A treatment for white spots left after braces or caused by fluorosis. Without drilling, the spot is prepared with a gel and a liquid resin is drawn into the enamel, which makes the spot blend with the surrounding tooth. It is done in one visit. Not every white spot suits it, so we assess first.
Veneers and crowns usually take two to four visits over two to six weeks: planning, preparation with temporaries, and fitting. Whitening takes one or two visits. If braces or aligners are needed first, the makeover follows once the teeth are aligned.
